Interview:
How old are you ?
I am 88 years old.
Do you easily mention your age?
Yes, but to be honest no one ever asks me.
How do you feel about your age?
Apart from a few “boos”, very good. I’m pretty lucky in that way.
By what term (an old man, an elderly person…)
do you like to be called someone your age?
I don’t use any of these terms; there are “old” people who are much younger
of spirit only of “young people”, but I quite like the term wise, all simply.
Do you have a memory of the moment when you said to yourself, for
first time: “I’m old!” »
Maybe when I lost some of my hearing. But with this
slight problem, I can turn a “deaf ear” to certain stupidities… and
this sometimes gives me a certain pleasure.

When you look forward to the years ahead, how
do you see them?
With lucidity; I sometimes get the blues thinking about certain periods of my
passed, but I quickly chase away these thoughts and get back in the saddle.
When you think about the day you have to leave, how do you feel?
YOU ?
I would like to experience the same feelings as those expressed by Demis
Roussos in one of his songs:
If you have to die one day,
I want you to be there,
Because it’s your love
Who will help me go away
Towards the beyond…
To cross the mirror,
I only want your look.

What activities are most valuable to you in this
period of your life?
Continue to paint, to create. My head is full of ideas, and the days are
always too short.
And then the simple pleasures with my partner: long walks in
mountains, good meals with a good bottle. I love good wines
and good whiskeys.
How do you feel in today’s world?
I am sometimes saddened – scandalized – to see that there is only money,
the profit that counts, in disregard of true values. I think by
example of the attitude of pharmaceutical companies which make exorbitant profits on
medication. But I could cite a thousand other examples:
abject conduct of certain heads of government, criminality,
GAFA scams (perfectly admitted…), etc.
When you meet someone close to your age,
what are you talking about?
I meet a few of them; They talk to me about their problems, and it annoys me
A little. I prefer to talk about the pretty things in life; there are already some
little…
