It will take place in Palermo, Saturday March 9th 2024 at 4.30 pm at the former Lavatoio
Municipal building of the Brancaccio district, located in via Germanese, the
International conference entitled: La donna, madre della libertà, “The woman, mother of freedom”. The event is dedicated to the celebration of the international day
of women’s rights and aims to be an awareness tool for
highlight the importance of the fight for women’s rights, for their
emancipation, and at the same time remember the social, economic and
policies achieved to date.
The event is organized by the Brancaccio and Musica Cultural Association
President Maestro Giovanna Ferrara aka Jane Far, Ambassador of
women in the world for the arts and music in collaboration with the States General
of the Women of Pavia President Dr. Isa Maggi.
The international meeting wants to celebrate women in the world and in all its
aspects, his rights, and his important role in society, he wants to be one
tool to remember your achievements and how much more you have to work for
concrete social equality. The event wants to offer the city of Palermo and its
compatriots abroad a moment of reflection, awareness and
enhance the role of women as the mother of freedom, freedom expressed in every
field, always respecting others, and which constitutes a central value for
a society where everyone can feel accepted, and valued, and where everyone has
the same rights, and can live their lives without oppression, discrimination,
inequalities, illegality, and unequal treatment. « There can be no freedom
without social justice and there cannot be social justice without freedom” he argued
President Sandro Pertini, unfortunately, still today, for many women, and for many
countries of the world, freedom cannot be taken for granted, it must be
claimed, defended, protected, and conquered. The Project “the woman, mother of
liberty” is conceived and curated by Maestro Jane Far. The Godmother will open the proceedings
of the event the wonderful international singer Daria Biancardi born in Palermo
but lived in New York, where she performed at the Apollo Theater in Harlem. They will give the

Si svolgerà a Palermo , sabato 9 marzo 2024 alle ore 16.30 presso l’ex Lavatoio
Comunale del quartiere Brancaccio, sito in via Germanese , il convegno
internazionale dal titolo : ” La donna, madre della libertà”, “the woman, mother
of liberty” . L’evento è dedicato alla celebrazione della giornata internazionale
dei diritti delle donne e vuole essere uno strumento di sensibilizzazione per
sottolineare l’importanza della lotta per i diritti delle donne, per la loro
emancipazione, e contestualmente ricordare le conquiste sociali, economiche e
politiche ad oggi conseguite.
L’evento è organizzato dall’Associazione Culturale Brancaccio e Musica
Presidente il Maestro Giovanna Ferrara in arte Jane Far , Ambasciatrice delle
donne nel mondo per le arti e la musica in collaborazione con gli Stati Generali
delle Donne di Pavia Presidente dott.ssa Isa Maggi.
L’incontro internazionale vuole celebrare la donna nel mondo e in tutti i suoi
aspetti, i suoi diritti, il suo importante ruolo nella società, vuole essere uno
strumento per ricordare le sue conquiste e quanto ancora bisogna impegnarsi per
una concreta parità sociale. L’evento vuole offrire alla città di Palermo e ai
connazionali all’estero un momento di riflessione, di sensibilizzazione e di
valorizzare del ruolo della donna quale madre della libertà, libertà espressa in ogni
campo, sempre nel rispetto del prossimo, e che costituisce un valore centrale per
una società dove ognuno possa sentirsi accettato, valorizzato, e in cui tutti abbiano
gli stessi diritti , e possano vivere la propria vita senza oppressioni, discriminazioni,
disuguaglianze, illegalità, e disparità di trattamento. « Non puo’ esserci libertà
senza giustizia sociale e non puo’ esserci giustizia sociale senza libertà» sosteneva
il Presidente Sandro Pertini , purtroppo, ancora oggi, per molte donne, e in molti
paesi del mondo, la libertà non può’ essere data per scontata, essa deve essere
rivendicata, difesa, tutelata, e conquistata . Il Progetto “the woman, mother of
liberty” è ideato e curato dal Maestro Jane Far . Ad aprire i lavori sarà la Madrina
dell’evento la meravigliosa cantante internazionale Daria Biancardi nata a Palermo
ma vissuta a New York, dove si è esibita all’Apollo Theater di Harlem. Daranno i
