Where are you from?: Egypt.

Tell us about yourself:

I am a fashion loving mother of two, I live in Dubai. I majored and mastered in Finance but always had a passion for fashion. My need for stylish cuts in skin friendly material that my overly sensitive skin can deal with made me start to make my own pieces over the past decade. I love silk matrial for its luxury, antibacterial benefits, temperature regulation, how it makes the skin breath and just how amazing I feel wearing it but, I always struggled to find the style I am looking for in silk.

 Tell us about your job/business:

After making my own pieces for years I founded The Gem in 2023, it is specialized in making luxuries comfortable pieces that can be styled in different ways. The basic collection concept in The Gem style is stylish silk for versatile wear that is luxurious, comfortable and eco friendly.

Your goals for the future?:

To make comfort and style seekers know more about The Gem and how they can get luxurious top quality pieces at affordable prices. For those with over sensitive skin to know The Gem is there made to suit their needs and in stylish designs! I am joining international runway to showcase The Gem, my goal at the moment is for those shows to be a success.

 Where do you see yourself in 5 years?:

The Gem is unique in its style and materials, over the next 5 years I target to have Gulf and international exposure and awareness about The Gem. I currently struggle to source eco friendly materials at affordable prices, over the next 5 years I expect better access and affordability to sustainable concepts.
