
Myrna Tang-Yao is a distinguished figure renowned for her multifaceted contributions in gender advocacies. Armed with a Doctorate Degree in Philosophy and Criminology from De La Salle University, she has spearheaded Richprime Global, Inc./Richwell Trading Corp. and the Richprime Group of Companies as President and CEO since 2011, leading the company into notable ventures in licensing and distribution for shoes, children toys and baby products like Mattel, Disney, Chicco, Joei, SpinMaster and many others.
In addition to her corporate feats, Ms. Yao has left indelible marks in governance, notably as Chairperson of the Philippine Commission on Women from 2004 to 2010. Currently engaged as the Commissioner for Business and Trade sector in Philippine Commission of Women. Actively engaged in various civic organizations, including the Pearl S. Buck Foundation Philippines, Inc., Philippine Federation of Local Councils of Women, Filipino-Chinese Federation as Founder & President, BPW Philippines Assn., Inc., and many others, she demonstrates an unwavering commitment to societal progress. Her exceptional dedication and accomplishments have garnered global acclaim, evidenced by accolades such as the Legacy Award of Excellence in Women Empowerment, Asia CEO Awards, Global Entrepreneur Award at Global Summit in Egypt, Araw ng Maynila Awardee and the Presidential Award from Former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
