Dr. Jacques Durand: Top 20 SELF-MADE MEN 2024

Originally from Gaillac in the Tarn region of France, I have always been driven by a spirit of discovery and a love for challenges. As a teenager, I explored the surrounding areas, particularly the gorges of the Aveyron, searching for caves. This passion for speleology spanned ten years of my life and nurtured my desire to uncover the unknown. During my medical studies, I organized and participated in expeditions across the globe, contributing to discoveries that led to the creation of national parks, notably in Chilean Patagonia and Indonesia, thanks to prehistoric paintings and spectacular landscapes.

My work as a doctor has allowed me to practice medicine in France and abroad while pursuing innovative projects. In Indonesia, I established aesthetic clinics before focusing on social telemedicine, an endeavor recognized with an award from the Pierre Fabre Foundation. Since 2017, I have been practicing medicine in France while continuing to explore new professional horizons.

Always passionate about innovation and challenges, I launched and created the AI Film Awards (www.filmawards.ai), a global concept that celebrates the best films created with artificial intelligence. Beyond recognition, this project encompasses the production and distribution of these films, supported by studios located in several countries. This initiative reflects my commitment to pushing the boundaries between technology and creativity. Finally, my interest in biohacking mirrors my pursuit of a prolonged and healthy life. My ambition is to add years of well-being to life expectancy by combining medicine, innovation, and exploration. This holistic approach drives my entire professional and personal journey.
