Alessandro Costanza was born in San Cataldo in the Province of Caltanissetta where he lives and works. Initially a figurative painter, he later arrived at his personal style defined by critics: “New Italian Renaissance of Contemporary Informal-Expressionist Art”. He began painting at the age of seven, as evidenced by his various works. Master of Art, he completed his studies at the Filippo Juvara Art Institute of San Cataldo. Honorary degree in Art History from the Universum Academy Switzerland, honorary title. His favorite subjects are: Figures, Still Lifes, Landscapes and Flowers. The technique he prefers is oil on canvas, acrylic on canvas, watercolor on paper, tempera and mixed techniques. He has exhibited in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Sicily, Italy and abroad. His works are found: at the Bishopric of Caltanissetta, with the Portrait of His Exc. Monsignor Mario Russotto, Bishop of Caltanissetta; at the Geraci Siculo Museum with the Opera “Santa Lucia” and “Santa Barbara”; at public and private collectors. He is currently President of two international cultural organizations, has held managerial roles organizing art events and representing other artists.
Alessandro Costanza uses Art to express the most heated emotions and reflections. His subjects are often extrapolated from strong human maturity and creativity; the Artist expresses an innate talent and is a master of drawing and color combinations with large backgrounds. Costanza has a profound ability to rediscover corners of solemn simplicity, simple as the artist is. He uses colors like a musician playing an arpeggio (guitar), transforming naturalistic cues into high vibrational sparkles, sometimes disturbing, but often and in any case dancing with the sweet audic sublimation of feeling. The Master uses technical-artistic skills and knowledge to express something that emerges from within and filters the interiority of man with its colours; feelings, moods, daily realities, bringing even what may exist monotonous to very high levels with a dancing, profound sublimation and introspection of original lights and colours.
The Artist met the gallerist and President of the Nisseno Artistic Club Michele Tripisciano, from Caltanissetta, Umberto Scarantino in 2001, in an Extemporaneous Painting competition which took place in the Nisseno Hinterland Valley, since then he has taken the First Prize in occasion of the Extemporaneous event that took place that year. He was a member of the Nisseno Artistic Club from 2001 to 2005. Since then he has participated in numerous collective, extemporaneous, sacred art, mini painting and local exhibitions (Artistic Director and Promoter of the first edition of Extemporaneous Painting of the Municipality of Serradifalco), Provincial, Regional, National and International; In 2004 he participated by invitation in the 14th edition of the Inter Art Competition. Nativity scene which took place in Cefalù from 3 to 5 December 2005, enjoying notable success in terms of awards and criticism, obtaining the title of “Knight of Contemporary Painting” (with approval from the Council of Ministers of Rome). Subsequently, he exhibited with the Who’s Who International Committee of European Excellence Cee LTd Gallery, exhibiting his works in Switzerland. In 2003/2004 he collaborated with Galleries in Rome including: Galleria il Collezionista; with National and International Associations. In the same year he participated in the “Art Prize” of Giorgio Mondadori, immediately afterwards in France, at: Direction Generale del Interventions Sociales, Educatives et Culturelles “Galerie Des Ponchettes” and at “Galerie De La Marine”.
His artistic work is also known in Italy at: GAI – Association for the circuit of Young Italian Artists, of Turin and at: DARC General Directorate for Architecture and Contemporary Art, in collaboration with “Pagine Bianche d’Autore” ; in the latter institutions, Costanza was included as an “artist of honour” by Example for young people involved in the artistic sector (2006). In the same year, his artistic data became part of the most illustrious Italian publishing houses, of which we mention: “Contemporary Art Gallery and Alba Publishing House” of Ferrara (Italy), which invited him to be part of the 2005 Edition /2006 of the “International Encyclopedic Dictionary of Modern and Contemporary Art, published by the same publishing house, which awarded him the Medal Aurea, “Alba prize 2005/2006” for the very high artistic value of Maestro Nisseno, of an international nature. The Comed yearbook, International Guide to the Fine Arts of Milan, inserts the data of Maestro Costanza, throughout Europe, in the General Archive of Fine Arts, due to the master’s illustrious presence in the World Field. In 2006 he was invited by the publishing house “Edizioni Atena”, which, having learned about Costanza, invited him for an exhibition of exhibitions in Europe and obviously reserved the honor and pleasure of writing about his work, his biography, and inserts it in all current and upcoming editions published by Essa.

He was invited by local and national telesales, and with more than ten years of experience, Costanza’s style, now defined as “Original”, received the “Prize” from the “Art-Rebels” Cultural Association of San Lorenzo al Mare (Imperia) in 2006. Honorary Style in Art” with a Certificate of Merit, and “Lifetime Inclusion” as an Honorary Member, registered in the Register of Members, of Category A. In 2006, he received the life title of <<Associate Academician of Verbano> from the “Greci Marino” International Academy and from the Verbano Academy (of Vercelli) and became part of the higher ranks of the Academic body.
