A Journey Through Light, Time, and Origin
Romaguera’s artistic career spans nearly five decades, marked by a deep exploration of cosmic energy, personal transformation, and the essential elements of life. From an early age, he was attuned to the complexities of identity and expression. This sensitivity eventually found a voice through painting—his true language of connection and introspection. While he graduated as Optometrist, Romaguera applies his understanding of light to create works that radiate from within. Since 1999, his technique has centered on the emulation of sand and water—symbolic elements that reflect origin, continuity, and the cycles of existence. This material approach is not only technical but conceptual, inviting viewers into a meditative experience that mirrors the natural world. Influenced by masters such as Tiziano, Tinguely, and Malevich, Romaguera draws from the emotional, kinetic, and reductive powers of art history. Yet his style remains entirely his own, built upon a foundation of internal exploration and philosophical inquiry. The golden spiral often appears in his work, guiding the viewer’s gaze in harmony with the geometry of nature and the cosmos. His art is more than visual, it is experiential. Each piece functions as a portal, offering space for reflection on the viewer’s own connection to time, space, and consciousness. Romaguera believes that through emptiness and silence, the viewer can expand their own internal narrative.

Now approaching 50 years of creative practice, he is currently developing a new exhibition that will continue his inquiry into light, time, and universal connection. For curators, collectors, and art lovers, Romaguera’s work offers not only mastery of technique but a rare authenticity of vision. His journey is ongoing, and he sees each new piece as a step toward a final, transcendent brushstroke, the most meaningful one of all.
