Born in 1982 in Addis Ababa,Ethiopia, is an inspiring artist who taught himself in expressing his perspectives and ideologies through sculptures, abstract paintings and installations since he was 7 years old. Brook has been diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS), a rare, progressive form of arthritis affecting the spine and large joints of the arms and legs, that made him immobilized except for his arms.
Brook paints by lying upside down on a bed, extending his arm over the edge to reach a canvas placed on the floor, using carefully controlled brushstrokes in a method shaped by his physical condition He exhibit 15 solo exhibitions and he participated more than 20 group exhibitions in Ethiopia, united Arab Emirate and Zambia. Now Brook is a motivational speaker, writer and visual artist.
