Visionary Artist and International Film Leader

James Li is a distinguished artist, director, and film producer whose multifaceted career spans art, cinema, and international media. He currently serves as Chairman of several prominent organizations, including Hollywood Gang (Beijing) International Film and Television Media Co., Ltd., and Far East (Mauritius) International Ltd. His influence extends across China, Hollywood, and Africa, positioning him as a global cultural figure. James Li began his journey in December 1994 when he joined the army, later graduating in 1998 from the PLA Art Institute with a degree in literature. He continued his artistic education at the PLA Art Academy of Fine Arts (2001), the Central Academy of Fine Arts (2002), and later in Paris in 2005. In 2006, he was admitted to the National Academies’ senior graduate class, further refining his artistic vision. A member of the China Film Association, James Li brings a deep sensitivity and poetic touch to his cinematic work, emphasizing emotional depth and inner beauty. In 2013, his film A Beautiful Mother was featured at the 3rd Beijing International Film Festival. That same year, he contributed the title design for Man of Tai Chi, directed by Keanu Reeves and starring Chen Hu, Karen Mok, and Ye Qing. In 2014, he directed and produced Spell of the Fragrance Dream Time. In 2015, he directed the CCTV project Resurrection of Tang Yun, part of the“108 Tang Poems” series, as well as the film Love Is Coming. In 2016, he filmed the first historical film based on the singing style of Gansu “Long Opera”., and he also authored a film on renowned medical expert Zu Qibo.

James Li founded the Film College of Money Worship Institute in July 2016 and, by November, was directing the Mauritius-based film Home of Paradise. With a rare combination of artistic vision and international leadership, James Li continues to shape the global film landscape. In addition to his cinematic achievements, James Li is also a respected visual artist whose works explore themes of tradition, spirituality, and contemporary culture. His latest art series, The New Chinese Ceremony, integrates symbolic motifs and modern aesthetics, showcasing a refined interpretation of cultural heritage through painting and mixed media installations.
