In just two short years, Prix Trivino, a 15-year-old Filipino racer, has gone from a complete beginner to an international competitor, proving that with talent, passion, and dedication, anything is possible. Unlike most young racers who start at the age of five, Prix began his journey in motorsport in March 2023 with no background in racing or driving of any kind. A former elite football player since age 7, Prix’s transition to motorsport was unexpected. He first discovered the thrill of karting at a PMKA Clinic in Philippines. From that moment, something clicked. The adrenaline, the speed, the challenge, it all lit a fire in him.

In his first-year racing in the Philippines, Prix wasted no time making a mark. Competing in local championships under the Intermediate Category and shifted to Junior Category half way, he quickly rose through the ranks, securing multiple podium finishes and even championships. His natural talent and quick learning curve stunned many who had been in the sport for years. But Prix didn’t stop there. In his second year, he set his sights on Europe, not to chase trophies, but to chase experience. He joined prestigious international races, including the Champions of the Future Academy, a highly competitive series across Europe and the UAE. It was here he truly began to understand the depth of global competition. European racing is a different beast—fierce, unforgiving, and ultra-competitive. Drivers are aggressive and fast, never afraid to close gaps or fight for every inch of track. “The pack is so tight, positions change every corner,” says Prix. “They’ll boot you out if they see the slightest gap. It’s a whole new level.” This move marked a pivotal step, placing him in high-calibre European competitions and exposing him to harsher competition and advanced technical training. Within this structured development environment, Trivino’s natural speed has been polished further, his capacity to extract maximum performance from his kart while maintaining composure under pressure. He has already chalked up impressive results, adapting seamlessly to European circuits and racecraft styles. Trivino’s innate talent is matched by a cerebral approach to racing. He quickly absorbed lessons from every race—analysing lap times, adapting to different kart setups, and fine-tuning his racing craft. His adaptability across various track conditions and layouts has given him a reputation as an intelligent and versatile competitor.

In September 2024, He competed in the T4 Nations Cup Valencia Spain under the Junior Category, proudly representing the Philippines for the second year in a row, this time he came in stronger—armed with more skill, confidence, and international racing experience. His growth was evident on the track as he delivered an outstanding performance, finishing P1 in multiple heats against a highly competitive international field. It was a testament to how far he has come in just two years, proving that his dedication to honing his craft is turning into remarkable results. His proudest moment ? came when he represented the Philippines at the prestigious FIA Motorsport Games in Valencia, Spain—the Olympics of motorsport. Out of only two Filipino drivers selected, Prix competed in the Karting Sprint Senior Category, proudly carrying the flag. Just two weeks prior, he suffered an injury in Dubai, and doctors advised him not to race. But with unwavering determination, he pushed through and finished P25 out of 36, despite the pain- a testament for his grit and National pride. For Prix, simply representing the country on that global stage was already a victory and a moment he will cherish forever. For Prix, winning has never been the priority. Instead, it’s about honing his craft, learning from every lap, every mistake, and every challenge. His goal is to sharpen his skills, gain confidence, and grow into a world-class driver. Prix Trivino is more than a racer; he’s a symbol of Filipino resilience and raw talent. With only two years in the sport, he’s just getting started. As he puts it, “Racing is where my values, passion, and strength meet.” And for Prix, the road ahead is wide open and this is just a beginning.
