Minal, an artist of Indian origin born and raised in Kenya, embodies the rich cultural tapestry that shaped her upbringing. Since childhood, she has painted beneath the vast skies of the African wilderness, where nature whispered inspiration into her soul. Though life led her down a different path—into the structured world of pharmacy—her heart never strayed far from the canvas. In time, she returned to her first love, where colours once again flowed freely, and her spirit found its truest form in art. Now it has been over 25 years she has been painting and uses her art exhibitions as a means to support underprivileged communities.

In her paintings, she explores and expresses the intricate layers of her identity, capturing the cultural intertwining of her dual heritage in a harmonious blend that creates a unique narrative. This fusion conveys a profound sense of belonging and connection to both cultures. Her paintings serve as windows into her life in Kenya, reflecting her journey as an Indian woman, mother, and daughter, embraced by the beauty of nature. Minal’s works is inspired by the boundless beauty of nature, her art celebrates not only journeys, womanhood but also the breathtaking flora, cultures and wildlife surrounding her. Flowers, a recurring symbol, represent personal growth, mirroring the delicate yet resilient nature of life’s journey. Her previous collection titled -In Bloom delved into the challenges women face, expressing themes of resilience, strength and solidarity. Her recent collection – Routes of Reflection- explored relationships between memory, identity and passage of time. https://www.instagram.com/minal_morarji
