Daniel Bernard: Ride For Unity, where the Road Leads to Something Greater

Daniel Bernard has enjoyed a career in the Sports Industry spanning twenty-five years, having built operations, companies and platforms across multiple territories and jurisdictions. As an active strategic investor into startups and early-stage companies in the sports and sports technology sector, Daniel’s area of expertise lies in the optimization and use of data and technology to drive the industry forward. Born in London in the UK, Daniel has lived in France, Spain, and Italy before settling in Israel in 1999. Working in television for the Sports Channel offered a broad entry into the industry, and he worked from the ground up through logistics and production to deal with broadcast rights acquisitions.  In 2004, Daniel founded the Sports Data agency that was to become Redwood International Sports. Redwood was a first mover in advanced analysis of player and team performance always adopting innovative technologies to increase the company’s capacity to deliver quality data and insights for its customers.

Daniel turned his focus in 2015 to the gaming sector and created brand new platforms for emerging markets, dealing with everything from compliance and regulation to product and IT delivery. As part of this journey, he founded Suntech Innovation in Kyiv, Ukraine, delivering fully customized and turnkey product for the specific market. Grateful to continue working in an industry he enjoys so much, Daniel is an active investor in the sports sector. In addition to his own angel investing, he is a Venture Partner with Mindspring Capital, sits on the advisory board for Sharp Alpha Fund and is connected with a number of VC funds with a global reach into the Sports Industry. In addition, he works with selected companies as a board member or in an advisory role, to bring value through strategic, operational and business development partnerships. Daniel wholeheartedly believes in servant leadership. At the center of his core values are a dedication to hard work, high energy, an entrepreneurial spirit and creating teams that embrace diversity of thought as much as they embrace diversity of background. Additionally, Daniel invests much of his efforts and time in the Gulf, keen to build economic, social and cultural bridges between Israel and the UAE, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. After over two decades in the Sports Industry, Daniel is now looking to maximise his focus on creating a positive impact on people’s lives through sport, both with children and adults alike through social impact and philanthropic initiatives. At the heart of this endeavour, he has founded Ride For Unity, bringing together business leaders, trailblazers and athletes from around the globe to reconnect a very fragmented world and build sustainable pathways to trust. Through the unifying anchor of sport, Ride For Unity delivers awareness and education and drives measurable action to open up the youth and young adults to values-based leadership.

Ride For Unity: Where the Road Leads to Something Greater

In a world increasingly divided by borders, beliefs, and barriers, Ride For Unity was born from a simple truth: movement creates connection. This global nonprofit cycling movement is about more than just bikes — it’s about building bridges between people, communities, and causes. It’s about riding together, rising together, and discovering that when we move forward as one, we can create real, lasting change. At its core, Ride For Unity believes that something powerful happens when people share the road. On two wheels, differences fade. Conversations begin. Healing happens. From local villages to global cities, Ride For Unity creates moments — and movements — where people feel seen, heard, and valued. Whether riding side-by-side with a neighbor or a complete stranger, the journey becomes one of purpose and unity. Founded to break down walls and build up community, Ride For Unity organizes large-scale rides, grassroots hubs, and powerful local activations that go far beyond sport. These events serve as catalysts for social accountability, empathy, and action. Each ride creates space for transformation — not just physically, but emotionally and socially.

This isn’t charity from the outside in. This is community-led, purpose-driven work powered by real people with real stories. Through the RFU model, riders become change agents, local partners become co-creators, and underserved communities are empowered to lead their own transformation. In our hubs — starting with the UAE and expanding into Rwanda — we launch cycling-based programs for youth, donate bicycles and sports equipment to schools, create learn-to-ride programs, and host workshops that combine fitness, wellness, and mentorship. In August 2025, the upcoming Ride to Reconnection tour will take our riders on a breathtaking journey through Rwanda — a country that has shown the world what unity, resilience, and healing truly look like. With over 1,000 children participating in our community activations along the route, this tour will be a celebration of possibility, connection, and purpose. It’s a journey that doesn’t just honor Rwanda’s past — it helps shape a more unified future. But Ride For Unity isn’t just about one ride. It’s a movement that lives in every story shared, every barrier broken, every mile ridden together. Our mantra — “Ride Together. Rise Together.” — is more than a slogan. It’s a call to action. A promise. A belief that change begins not in grand speeches, but in the quiet act of showing up for each other, again and again. If you’ve ever felt the world needs more empathy, more courage, more connection — Ride For Unity is for you. Whether you ride, donate, volunteer, or simply share our story, you become part of a movement that is rewriting the narrative of division… with hope, wheels, and heart. This is more than a ride. It’s a return to what makes us human.
