Heritage India Fashions with Designer Prashant Goyal on the runway for FAO Schwarz charity event.


Heritage India Fashions and RaQuel of Kiss the Monkeys and Kiss the Mermaids (KTM) came together with a vision to coordinate the largest charity fashion show held at the Rockefeller Center. The gala, Once Upon a Runway {A Toy Story} took place at New York’s famous toy, FAO Schwarz. On January 16th, the doors of the store closed for a private red carpet event, where celebrities, philanthropists, and socialites arrived to enjoy an evening of fashion, music, and fundraising for St. Jude Children’s Research Center. Proceeds from the tickets of the show, as well as the silent auction, went to benefit the renowned hospital that has been a leader in treating childhood diseases and cancer.



Before the fashion show, guests mingled and tasted on delectable hors d’ oeuvres and champagne served by Chef Ray Taste Of The Islands, before heading off to view the art that was part of the silent auction. Artists  Vina NguyenJohn Mazlish,  Carol ScarvettoRyan Cronin,  Christian NicoElsa Marie KeefeEkaterina Abramova, all donated their work, with 100% of their sales donated directly to St. Jude’s Research Center.


Attendees of the event included those entrepreneurs, and influencers Susan Gutfreund, Maggie Delaney, David Warren, author Luisa Diaz, actress Courtney Daniels, owner and host of Chance Television, Chance Speissbach, movie producer Akeem Browder, and John Clark.


UN Correspondent and diplomatic editor Gloria Starr Kins of Society & Diplomatic Review attended the event at as a special VVIP guest of Prashant and Ruchi Goyal, and Kevin Rego of the television network, B4U America’s and his wife Sonali and his wife both attended as special guests of the Goyals. The music for the event, “It’s All About You”, was composed by created by Prashant’s longtime friend, Samrat Chakrabarti, who came to the event styled in on of Prashant’s sherwani.


The event, televised live by B4U Corporate Music and TV and ET NOW, was hosted by his highness, Prince Mario-Max De Schaumburg Lippe and American actress and Miss USA Finalist, Jennifer Murphy. The runway show was the anticipated event for the evening, opening with designer Elie Balleh, followed by Vila Beauty Resources by Diem Ngoc Nguyen Teresa Costa Collections showcased her vegan shoe line and celebrity fashion and shoe designer Pamela Quinzi , also known as the “Cinderella Of New York,” flew in from Italy for the event. Award-winning International designer  KiKi Wang featured her Red line, announcing that she would be donating items from her children’s line to the children that were patients at St. Jude’s.


The Once Upon A Runway additionally focused on inclusivity, models with disabilities, including model and actress Abigail Adams who is renowned for her down syndrome and disability advocacy, hearing impaired male model Alex Beutel, vision-impaired teen model Weston Wright, and Craniofacial Awareness Advocate, Cynthia Murphy. These talented actors and models brought much acclamation for the talent on the runway their perseverance to continue to bring diversity to the fashion industry.


KTM’s signature “Evolutionist Award” was awarded to entrepreneur Meera Gandhi for humanitarian efforts and life achievements as a Living Legacy and Philanthropic Fe-Nom. Emmy Award-winning Producer Lucia Kaiser was also awarded for her efforts in Philanthropy and Pioneering Women In The Business Entertainment Industry, and designer KiKi Wang as a presented with the award as Fashion Empress.


The show closed with the headlining designer and event partner, Heritage India Fashions. Designer Prashant Goyal impressively had over 45 models showcase his latest collection of formal wear, including exclusive models for Heritage India Fashions, Kayla Stern, Gio Delavicci, supermodel Lera Levinski. Before heading off to the after-party at the Royalton Hotel, hosts Prince and KTM presented a surprise Evolutionist Award to Prashant Goyal as a Fashion Icon and Outstanding Business Leader.


Kiss the Monkeys (KTM) is an award-winning event organization founded by RaQuel Sanchez and Alexander Harris in 2015. Four years later, KTM connects over 10,000 like-minded professionals, philanthropists, and entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds to create high profile events, partnering with non-profits and charities that focus on a positive social change. Prashant Goyal co-produced the event with KTM; this was the first event of this scale that Prashant has had a participating hand incoordination, bringing in models, makeup artists, photographers, and other behind the scenes staff from all over the globe for the grand event.

Since then, their line of Indo western fashion has taken hold in the world and made Heritage India Fashions a growing leader in formal Indian wear, styling numerous Hollywood and Bollywood celebrities and government officials. Ruchi Goyal a significant supporter of husband and the backbone of the company, her extensive knowledge of design and textiles, and influence in business have been invaluable and a direct cause of the growth of the company.


As the lead stylist for Heritage India Fashions, Ruchi has styled politicians, Hollywood and Bollywood celebrities alike from around the world. Like Prashant, Ruchi has a keen eye in for hues, textures, and styles, knowing exactly how to complement a client’s looks with the perfect design. This skill, along with her honesty in directing the clients to not just want they need, but will accentuate their own unique beauty, retains a long list of clients who and always come back to her to be dressed for special events.
