Dubai once again positioned itself at the centre of the international media landscape as the Arab Media Summit 2026 brought together thousands of media leaders, decision-makers, journalists, creators and innovators, with international media personality and entrepreneur Pamela Quinzi attending the prestigious gathering representing Melapa International, Waves & Runways International Magazine and her global media platforms.

Dubai at the Centre of the Media World
From September 15–17, 2026, the Dubai World Trade Centre became a meeting point for some of the most influential voices shaping the future of communication.
Organised by the Dubai Press Club, the 24th Arab Media Summit was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council.
The 2026 Summit was described by organisers as its largest edition to date, bringing together approximately 10,000 media professionals and industry stakeholders, including more than 200 international media figures. Eight specialised forums were brought together under the Summit umbrella, creating an extraordinary platform for dialogue on the forces transforming media across the Arab world and internationally.
From journalism and government communication to social media, film, gaming, podcasting, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, the programme reflected just how dramatically the definition of “media” continues to expand.

Pamela Quinzi: An International Media Presence in Dubai
Among the international media professionals attending the Summit was Pamela Quinzi, international media personality, entrepreneur, author, fashion designer and Founder and Owner of Melapa International and Waves & Runways International Magazine and Media Platforms.
For Quinzi, whose international career has developed across fashion, publishing, media, public relations, events and creative entrepreneurship, attending the Arab Media Summit represented an opportunity to connect her international experience with one of the world’s fastest-evolving media environments.
Representing Waves & Runways and Melapa International, Quinzi participated in the Summit as an independent international media presence, meeting personalities from the worlds of media, government, communication and entertainment while covering key moments from Dubai for her platforms.
For more than 15 years, her professional journey has connected storytelling with visibility — first through fashion and international events and later through magazines, books, interviews, digital platforms and global media projects.
“Media has always been about more than visibility for me. It is about telling stories, connecting people and creating opportunities across countries and cultures. Attending the Arab Media Summit in Dubai was an important opportunity to listen, learn, exchange perspectives and experience first-hand the transformation taking place in our industry.”
— Pamela Quinzi

Media in an Era of Transformation
Transformation was at the heart of the 2026 Summit.
The programme brought together eight specialised forums, designed to address different dimensions of today’s media ecosystem. Discussions explored geopolitical developments, evolving audiences, the future of news and content, government communication, digital influence, film, gaming and the increasingly significant role of technology and artificial intelligence.
The Summit also created an interactive environment beyond its principal stages. The Dubai Press Club’s dedicated platform offered activities bringing together media professionals, writers, trainers and representatives from international media and technology organisations, while also producing 25 podcast episodes to mark the silver jubilee of the Arab Media Award.
This convergence of traditional journalism, digital communication and emerging technologies carried a clear message: the media industry is no longer defined by one platform.
Today, a story can move from an interview to a magazine, from a podcast to social media, from video to an international event, reaching audiences around the world almost instantly.
It is a transformation that closely reflects the philosophy behind Melapa International and Waves & Runways: media without borders.
Distinguished Voices and Global Perspectives
The Summit welcomed a distinguished line-up of Emirati, Arab and international figures.
Among the prominent UAE personalities participating were Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority; H.E. Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President; H.E. Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of State; and H.E. Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Authority.

International and regional participants also included government officials, editors, media executives, journalists, thinkers and communication leaders from across the Arab world and beyond.
One of the sessions attended by Quinzi featured H.E. Dr. Anwar Gargash in conversation with media presenter and political writer Emad El Din Adeeb.
During the session, titled “Media Reinvented: Navigating an Era of Transformation,” Dr. Gargash discussed the UAE’s approach to rapidly changing regional and international developments, touching on diplomacy, national interests, economic resilience and the importance of dialogue in supporting regional security and stability.
For an international publisher and media entrepreneur, being present for conversations of this level offered a valuable perspective on the increasingly interconnected relationship between media, diplomacy, technology, business and society.
Celebrating Excellence in Arab Media
Recognition of excellence was another important component of the Summit.
Three major award programmes formed part of the 2026 edition: the Arab Media Award, the Ibda’a – Arab Youth Media Award, and the Arab Social Media Influencers Award, recognising achievements across journalism, television, digital media and content creation.
The 2026 gathering was particularly significant as the Arab Media Award celebrated its Silver Jubilee — 25 years of recognising excellence, professionalism and creativity within the Arab media industry.
The celebration highlighted not only established media figures but also the new generation of journalists and digital creators who are redefining how information and stories reach audiences.

The New Power of Independent Media
For Quinzi, the Summit also reflected an evolution that has defined her own professional journey: the increasing power of independent media.
The modern media landscape allows entrepreneurs, publishers and creators to develop their own platforms and communicate internationally without being confined to traditional publishing models.
Through Waves & Runways International Magazine, Quinzi has built an editorial platform connecting fashion, business, personalities, entertainment, travel, culture and inspiring international stories. Through Melapa International, that vision expands across publishing, media, PR, branding, events and international visibility.
The intersection between traditional journalism and the creator economy was highly visible throughout the Arab Media Summit.
Media is no longer simply something audiences consume.
It is something they interact with, share, question and increasingly help create.
Dubai: Where the Future of Media Is Being Written
The scale of the Arab Media Summit also reflected Dubai’s growing role as a meeting point between East and West and as a destination for media, technology and the creative industries.
International organisations and media brands joined regional leaders at the Summit, creating opportunities for dialogue between different markets and perspectives. Euronews, for example, brought an additional European dimension to the programme, with its Chairman Pedro David joining the Summit’s international media leadership line-up.
For Pamela Quinzi, whose career has moved from Rome to Milan, New York, Ibiza and Dubai, this international dimension carries particular significance.
Her work has consistently crossed geographical and creative boundaries — from fashion runways and international events to publishing, books, interviews and digital media.
Dubai now represents another chapter of that international journey.
“The future belongs to those who understand how to evolve without losing their identity. Technology changes, platforms change and audiences change, but authentic storytelling will always remain at the heart of media.”
— Pamela Quinzi
From Vision to Visibility
The Arab Media Summit 2026 demonstrated that the future of media will be shaped by a combination of credibility, creativity, technology, human connection and global collaboration.
For Waves & Runways International Magazine, being represented at a gathering of this scale reinforces its mission to connect stories, personalities and ideas across borders.
For Melapa International, it reflects a philosophy that has guided its international development:
From vision to visibility.
And for Pamela Quinzi, attending the Arab Media Summit represented another milestone in a journey that continues to evolve across industries and continents — while remaining connected by one fundamental belief:
Every person, brand and vision has a story. Media gives that story the power to travel the world.
